Hello Tacoma owners, has anyone carried a big ADV bike like a GS in the bed of a short bed gen 3 Taco?

^That's what passes for a "long" bed on the Tacoma...it's obviously still pretty short, but the other option is about a foot shorter.

If nobody answers your question here, there is a thread at tacomaworld in the 3rd gen section about carrying motorcycles. Your answer will be in there.

I've carried a KTM1090r in the bed of my 2018 double cab short bed. The fist time the rear tire made an indentation in the plastic of the tail gate. It straightened itself out after the bike was off a few hours. I now place a board under the rear tire to distribute the weight across a wider area of the tailgate, and no more issues. Hopes this helps.

After 20 years of driving Tacomas I downsized to a Toyota RAV4 last September. Mistake. I missed my Tacoma severely so in May I traded back to a Tacoma. My previous Tacoma was a Double cab short bed which is useless (to me) for carrying a motorcycle. So I went back to the Access Cab long bed and couldn't be happier. I don't do many updates to my trucks, just a few functional add-ons.
