Describes my experience with the 900 version as well. It was in the '90's with high humidity here (Indiana) yesterday and I rode from 9:00 to 3:00 and noticed the warm pipes about three times--all at stop lights.

I'm shorter than Black Rhino at 5'11"--if that makes a difference. I have thought about decating mine as that is supposed to take a lot of the heat out from under the front heat shield, but it really isn't necessary.

Is that a Tiger 1060 SE? Looks just like my 2012. What tires are you running for dirt roads?

    Yep! It's a 2012 1050 SE

I'm uhhhh I'm on PR5's. I guess they're just Road 5's now. Would not recommend for dirt. Good for probably 5 out of 7 muddy crossings.

It’s a heavy mother to pick up in the mud! Ask me how I know.

I’m running Avon Trailriders. Been fairly pleased with them in dirt. The Mississippi mud clogs them up in a hurry but I think that’s true of any tire.

Just bought this 76 T140V, she has done some travelling in her lifetime. Went to Australia in 76, then was in USA in 1984, and now back in England for some TLC!
