    Hey.
My name is Jakob, I'm 24, from Denmark and will soon start a trip around the world going east, staying north.

    This is me in Nepal:

I will drive on my BMW R80GS 1993 - Build thread here: https://advrider.com/index.php?threads/postponing-life-rtw-on-r80gs.1285625/

I will start from Denmark, and then my plan is to stay north and go trough Siberia and eventually cross over to Alaska, to then work my way down the states (something along the lines like "The Long Way Around" Tv-show)

My tripplanning so far is very little, and generally I'm bad at getting to plan my traveling too much, but I figured I would start this thread for inputs regarding the crossing from Siberia to Alaska.

    - Shipping or airplane?
    - From what city to what city?
    - Previous experiences
    - Costs
    - Alternatives for crossing between these two continents
    - All the stuff I haven't thought about

    Cheers
