I'd be interested. I want to see if I'd enjoy it before committing big $$ on a rig.
Id be interested.
Very interested. Will we get a "Trained by Claude" shirt?
" CAUTION ..Trained By Claude "
Any nifty news yet?
Still in the planning and organizing stages. Have obtained one more bike as a trainer and another on the way soon. Like to thank ramey Stroud for his support and input. This will happen ....sidecars only.
Any dates in mind yet? Between work, home projects and rallies the calendar is filling up fast!
I'm still interested.
@claude I was hoping to talk to you about a possible project. Would you prefer a phone call, ADV- "Conversation" or in a thread? Of corse the collective would then know how I am.
Go ahead and call him he loves to visit.
In and waiting on more info. :)
Pulling more details together with the goal to kick off the initial session in June of this year.... Plan is for a three day course with a bonus day for anyone who wishes to stay for more personalized training etc. Our vision is that training is NOT a competition by any stretch of the imagination. Some learn quicker than others, some can be intimidated by the wrong atmosphere and, frankly, some may wish to just hang out for an additional day. The actual days will be Friday through Monday with Monday being the bonus day for those who desire to stay. Initial class will be limited to ten participants. We will consider upping the number at a later date. When we begin we will have three training rigs and may expand that . We strongly encourage those with their own rigs to bring them. More info to follow shortly. Initially cost will be 300 per person. One meal will be provided. Friday will be a meet and greet day with some discussion. Saturday will be classroom sessions and Sunday will begin with a brief worship service and breakfast then it is off to a full day on the range. Monday, as mentioned, will be a bonus day utilized for more personalized training as/ if desired. We are not affiliated with any other 'sidecar' training organization although we will encourage everyone to attend other venues as well In a couple of states this is mandatory. Our course is sidecars only. All are welcome of course but all sessions will focus on sidecars only. All range exercises will be sidecars only. Certificates of completion will be provided. This is a rain or shine course with exceptions for actual stormy or dangerous conditions so bring some rain gear. Participants must wear helmets, gloves and appropriate foot wear. Decals will be given to all participants. More 'goodies' are planned also. You will also be asked to fill out a sheet critiquing the course as your input is important to us. .... In the future we hope to have a special set of classes related specifically to off road sidecar operation which will be separate than the basic course. I express my personal thanks as well as thanks for all involved here to Coach Ramey Stroud for his encouragement and indorsement on our plans to provide this as a service to sidecarists and potential sidecarists everywhere. Note that sessions will be on a first come first served basis. In other words when we get the money you are 'in' for a session. Your personal session dates will be determined by this . I wish I could state a specific date for the first session now but cannot. If you wish to be IN for the first class and are flexible on dates you are welcome to send your check in now. That is IT for now ....more later.

Will this be full on offroad rig, active monkey required?
Even just a road class would be very cool. Dualsport/ADV rig even better!
It will initially be a road oriented class. We plan to do off road classes as well at some point. https://www.facebook.com/freedom.sidecars
Note that dirt roads are not off road ...if that makes sense. _
Notice that Monday is designated as a bonus day. On that day we will be dedicated to more one on one training for this that want it. Time permitting we can get into some monkey training as well but it is not the priority do to speak. When we initiate the true off road type training that will be a part of that.
I want to thank Coach Ramey Stroud for his input and support in this. Great guy indeed.
If I send in payment for the first class and can't make it can I bump back to a later date? I might end up in India or Mexico for work on short notice.
Has it been picked where is this training going to be? If it's in Middleburg, I could commute, maybe. But otherwise I may have to figure in the cost of a room for a few days, which definitely makes a difference.
I'm a bit baffled by the schedule. Saturday will be nothing but classroom, all day long? I understand the need to go over sidecar uniqueness in a classroom, but all day long with zero seat time? Am I not properly appreciating something here?
I’d be interested, have my own rig to bring also.
Perhaps also offer a 1 day also for those of us that have hacks already but might not be properly trained?
I know, asking for a lot here.
No you are not asking too much at all. There will be more posted soon as well as a website 'sidecar training .com' soon. BTW , yes, there will be a 'bonus' day on monday for additional training. More later.
