    All the H-D supplied to the Soviet Union were solos. They were fitted with Stoye type sidecars, produced at GAZ in Gorkiy.

    The biggest reason that my wife refuses to try riding in a sidecar. She believes the whole ' pull the pin while riding along' thing is real, that I'd pull the pin on a high sharp curve.

    I love that episode where he's zipping up and down the "hill" harrassing the truckers who need to to get a running start up the hill, consequently breaking the speed limit so they don't peter out.

    Reminds me of the 1980 Datsun 210SL wagon where I had to slingshot out of a round-a-bout, accelerate up to 4th gear, and steadily downshift to 1st by the time I got to the top of a particular hill every Sunday on the way to church at the Air Force base in High Wycombe when I lived in the UK. I was probably doing 3 mph as I crested the hill.

    You're only an hour from Mt. Airy (Mayberry) if you haven't been already.
