I'm gunna try it over Memorial Day...:evil

I'll let you guys know how it goes. My understanding is that it is a relatively easy gravel and dirt road with occasional paving.

    Cheers!

This drew my interest Santa, so I spent a few mins
researching it. As far as I can tell, the
stupid stolpas got lost on a road across
northern Nevada, not CA. Couldn't find anything
    about road name tho.

A quote from the web on the movie
"When a snowstorm suddenly blows in, a married couple and their five-month-old son are stranded in their car on a desolate mountain road and must fight their way back to safety. Based on a true story"

Totally unprepared to be driving on a road they shouldn't be on (I think it was because the main road was closed by the storm, not sure). The wifey dies from hypothermia. Darwin lost on this one. The bastid can still procreate. :stupid

    Not in real life.
She stayed in the snow cave, he hiked out for help - they all lived.

they lived, but are still some of the dumbest motherfuckers to walk the world. 5mo old kid, no chains for god sake, and they WERE crossing that path cuz the superslab was closed for storm.

Sounds like a great trip for a summer GS ride though, (note: leave the 5mo olds at home.)

I like that route, I will probably take it on my way back from Schonoomonmoish WA
