Went for a ride with my dad Sunday/Monday, which took me over the Sierra. The fall colors are a bit late this year, barely starting to turn now. Just guessing, but they'll probably be prime in two weeks, the weekend of Oct. 8/9. Had a dab of rain today with the snow level just above the passes at around 10,000 feet. :arg

The east side of Hwys 88, 4 and 108 offer the best colors, IMO, plus there's a nice stretch on Hwy 395 between Bridgeport and Lee Vining. :thumb

Hmmmm...I wonder if they'll still be happening on October 15-16? Maybe I should go to Sequoia instead of Big Sur that weekend :evil
