Raining here, even though it doesnt show on the radar. Am I crazy? 3 hours riding in possible rain just after being sick for 4 days to party with a bunch of strangers in the woods then ride 3 hours home in mostly definite rain.

Eat, shower, hit the road. See ya there!

Those that showed up KNOW how much fun we had, even though we didn't get to see much in the realm of 'colors'.

Friday night at the fire was fucking HIL-AR-E-OUS!!!!!!!! I think we all :photog:poser for what was a good 60-90 minutes from all the banter and bull-shit. Even the sober peeps thought it was:jack

It rained and dumped during the night and by this morning riding at altitude would have been pointless as you would have gotten soaked and not seen a damn thing :cry.

Most of us packed up and headed home by 11 this morning. Oh well. The company was great, Mongox made a GREAT breakfast for many of us:clap, the campground was FREGGN STELLAR and EMPTY.

No matter, it was a dammed fine evening, and good to get out and test the rain-gear.

I declare the 2011 Fall Colors Ride to be on the 3rd weekend in October and will be based out of Calaveras Big Tree's Park next year. Don't miss it!

Thanks to everyone who showed up, and participated. I had a hoot seeing new faces....and some of the old ones :puke2

I took ZERO pics cause it was soo wet, but I'm sure others will throw a few up.

Hurty, I forgot to give you campground money :baldy

A big thanks to Giddypunk for getting this together! :thumb We left at about 11:30 and got S-O-A-K-E-D on the way home. Those who stayed behind are gonna get it bad tomorrow.:evil

It was nice to put some new names and faces together, and it was really great to see that there were four ladies who braved the elements to come out and have a good time. :clap Hurty was an excellent camp-spot host, as usual, and we really had a great time.

We need to try to do this ride again in the Spring or early Summer, if for no other reason than to get some riding in. :photog

Agreed. This was a great venue, despite the weather. I'd do it again...tho probly a-f'n-LONE next time (sans Goldwing riders :baldy)

Thanks for setting it up, G'Funk!

Riding South, I got out of the rain this morning below 1000' and had a dry ride home from Merced. I hope everyone else made it out ok, even those who camped in the HANDICAPPED sites :lol3
