Little pre-ride yesterday. The Lehigh is overflowing it’s banks, and flooded out one section of the route:

Yes, one of my more timely investments. They are all try and ready for tomorrows ride. I should be good for an hour or two before they are soaked again. But at least I'll be putting on dry boots in the morning.
But it was nice to see 35+ idiots like myself head out in the poring 50* rain this morning. It was a mess, and it was fun.

I think this year might have had the most dedicated, hard core riders yet.
Riding in the pouring rain and having an absolute blast!
It's 5am Sunday, and now we get rewarded with a great day ahead of us for dealing with the rain and get to ride to wheels off the bikes today.

    I love this shit.

I had pretty good phone coverage everywhere we rode. Oh wait, I've got a stupid flip-phone so I've always got better reception.

Despite the weather, I had a great time and I'll see you all next year.

Looks like it dried off a bit for Sunday's ride.

Another great edition of smokin hole- big thanks to the organizers and helpers that made this a smashing success despite the rain. In no particular order and I’m sure I don’t know everyone that helped...
Dave- blue mountain and everything else
    Marco- routes and guidance
Rich- for your help keeping the group together
Frenchy- for encouragement and help getting us beginners though the tough stuff
Adam for the good videos, stories, and tastings
Whoever it was that helped me align my big pig with the ruts in the mud bogs- several times... I was so tired I forgot to ask your name or say thanks.
All the other “true adventurers” who turned up despite the weather to make this a success.
I’m sure there are others - including glen or Gary from NH who I roosted and hope he took it in good spirit ;)

I don’t want to say anything thing about my bottled souvenirs or the cheesecake dessert because I don’t want to have to beat out more people for next years rally.
    Until next time....

A few pictures. Once again a great time. Made it home at midnight after nearly brake checking a MA state trooper around 11pm. I was getting tired of him tailgating me. Didn't know he was a trooper until I pulled off the exit and he went by me. DSC00100.jpg DSC00104.jpg DSC00106.jpg DSC00117.jpg

I hope everyone enjoyed mother nature peeing on us for most of the weekend!

We always try to make this a memorable ride for all who attend, and I'm pretty sure we didn't fail.

Lots of rain, mud, rocks, trees, stream crossings pretty much everywhere.

Certainly a challenging day for all who gave it a shot.

Keep the pictures coming and thank you all for attending.

The hot shower at the end of the day Saturday was a favorite for pretty much everyone, myself included.

Until next year, Ride the World fellow inmates!!!

I don't think I could ever forget the weekend. It was one of the hardest and most memorable things I've ever done. From meeting great people, to the rain and mud, to pushing through ten minutes of hell and Centralia, and who can forget going rubber ducky. It was a hell of a first time taking the bike off road. I'm hooked.
