Sikkim was no doubt the best state for me on the Great Indian Road Trip : mindblowing scenic views, and totally virgin isolated areas.

I couldnt ride to Nathu La Pass as I didnt have the permits, but still rode to somewhere outta this world.

Presenting some pictures from that wonderful day. My ride was the Hysoung Comet 250, I was using a Canon 350D

My first proper view of the Kunchanjunga peak. This wasnt on the Chango/Nathu La road. I took a diversion into some Army area for this!

In the middle of no-where. Clouds, snow, snowpeaks, isolation : I got it all

Max speed attained from Gangtok : 65.2km/h (true) , Elevation : 13,700 feet, avg speed from Gangtok : 31.7km/h, total distance from Gangtok : 70.2kms

There is life above clouds too

Riding back wasnt easy, thanks to snow and black ice

The comet was a reliable partner that day!

Can you spot the Comet? And that Army jeep? The Jawans (guards) thought i was a spy!!

Beautiful pics, bunny. Thanks for posting them. The high places fascinate me to no end and the Himalayas... well, they're the roof of the world!

    Awesome as always dude

Great Indian Road Trip - did I miss something or is there more Ride Report to come? (search function not working at the moment)

Is something other than an Inner Line Permit required?

What's the story on the new bike?

@all : here is the link to the biggest ride of my life : http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222373

gadget boy : well, on the great indian road trip, we were four riders. In Sikkim we were three as one had to go back home for a few days. on this day, i started before sunny and sunil (the other two riders) and hence you see me all alone in the pictures :)

bimble : there is a reason why the himalayas have fascinated me! I have on earlier accounts posted about my other himalayan rides here

    packmule : appreciated :)

    mistercinddy : thanks :)

toothy : after 9999 feet, it starts reading as 10.0K and so on. It reads 13.7 which is basically 13,700 feet (or 4151 meters) above mean sea level

com3, deser storm, akduc, klay : thanks all

bigrichard : you may see http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222373. sikkim was part of this great indian road trip which lasted 108 days across india.
Even we indians required permission from the army from gangtok for riding in these areas.

While the snow pics have the hyosung comet 250 , i rode a 165cc gearless scooter in the lower areas
