    Love the tractor Imu.

My granddaughter Mila just had a bit of tractor time at Disney last week.

A friend asked if I could use a Thule roof top carrier.
I knew my Daughter wanted to get one for her Subaru Outback.
I thought there might be a part or two missing and took the box and railings to the Subaru Dealership ready to be robbed by the Dealer.
They mounted it up for free. I tipped the Service Guy $15 as that is all I had in cash.
    Thule makes good quality stuff.

I got the Thule for free but J does not like it on her Subaru---"its too big, doesn't match the car and I can't open the hatch door". Sheesh! She wanted a sleek Thule and also be able to have a kayak up there at the same time. She has never kayaked in her life and does not own one! Now I gotta store the Thule in my enclosed trailer which already houses my own roof top carrier. I got some 1st World Problems, people.

Next year will plan on a Subiefest. Its amazing that she got her Outback at a very good price...you can't find a similar car today at any price. The Subaru Dealership had less than 10 cars on the lot ---some new some used. Not much price difference.

I have taken a day off today so will go for a ride today. Not sure whether to do dual sport or complete street. We will see.... Maybe, go for a root beer float but instead of a street ride on a Burgman take the WRR and ride mostly dirt roads. An A&W burger sounds good.

Off to LV next Friday or early Sat AM. I keep asking Karima if we should fly but she wants a drive.

    Change of Vegas plans:

I got an expert suspension guy (thank you @Chillis for the recommendation) who has agreed to take on the WR250R and help with upgrading the suspension. We plan to change out the rear and front springs to match my weight, rebuild the rear shock, replace the front fork seals and also replace the head steering bearing. We also plan to upgrade the front brake and maybe change out the handle bar. All this will be $$$ but may be worth it for me as the bike is a keeper.

The only issue is that the suspension guy is in St.George and I will be based in LV. Also, now I will be a trailering the bike.

Not sure yet but we may spend a day in Moab on the way back . . . .:clap I may get to ride the bike on a trail.

Today was chain maintenance and Burgie cleaning day.

The money I put into my GS's suspension is some of the best money I ever spent. Especially for the rear shock.

    I think you're making a good investment.

Finally got the orangecicle set up to get the weight out of my backpack and on the bike. Tha tail bag I swapped over from my crf250x. The tank bag I bought last month to carry my keys, wallet and a few other small items, but still needed a place for rain gear, extra gas, light jacket, etc., so I bought the Tusk pannier bags. What a deal at 99 bucks! Also added some bar risers to help the old back out and be able to stand up longer. May add a fender bag later but I'm not sure I need it at this point.

Went for a 80ish mile ride today and the new bags were awesome. I was concerned that all the added baggage would adversely affect the ride, but I couldn't even tell they were there.

I had planned to go to CO and ride with @NuMexJoe and Rick this summer, but I started a new job in August. Priorities(riding) sometimes have to take a back seat to necessities(working) and life gets in the way. But come April 2022, work be damned! Moab, look out 'cause I'm ready! Can't wait to see you guys!

    Greg,

We have a good start of the Group already for 'Moab April 2022'. About 5-6 Riders have 'committed'. I think 10 or so is a good number as that allows alternative rides between 'newbies' and more seasoned Riders.

Your bike looks great and has a kicker also. Plus, it looks like you have enough fuel range for at least The WRT.

Looks tidy, Greg! I can bring you a spare tank bag in April. I just swapped out the '06 450 EXC for a '19 Beta 390 RR-S (with Rekluse) that came with a tank bag and now I have an extra. Try before you buy! I was so stoked to get Imu's email about the April trip. Looking forward to riding in Moab with some fine folk again!

    Hi all,

Wanted to see if any of y’all had ideas for garage space in the greater Lansing area. I’m the faculty advisor for the fledgling MSU Motorcycle Club. This group is primarily made up of MSU students passionate about riding and learning more about maintenance, etc. As many of the undergrads don’t have garage/covered storage, we’re looking for a spot for folks to house their bikes during the off season. The club is additionally hoping to use this space to house a shared tool pool and communally wrench on bikes & learn more about maintenance.

Folks in the club are currently looking for on- and off-campus options, but we’d love any other thoughts and advice you have. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Joe, and bring that tank bag with you to Moab. Don't make us wait until April to see that Beta, post us a pic or ten. We all love some dirt bike porn! The reviews I've seen from owners of those 390's say they love 'em.

I just ordered some more "essentials" for the KTM, including a bigger tank for the longer rides out West. I should own stock in Rocky Mountain ATV/MC by now!

Hated I couldn't make it to CO to ride with you guys, so I was glad to hear you and Rick were coming to Moab again.
Like you said, I loved the vibe riding with everybody in Moab.

My cabin at the KOA has a set of bunk beds, heat and AC you and Rick are welcome to if you want them.

I would suggest finding someone with a Barn who could rent out some storage space.
