Ok, it's a go for the first weekend in September to accommodate the TLH assless chap, I mean cruiser, oops I mean CCW or CW crowd or whatever the hell you call yourselves.

The Argentia Ferry is the same schedule as last year so mainlanders can book the Wednesday departure and a few folks will come meet you on the Thursday to head up to the house.

Just so everyone is clear we are limiting the number of registrants to 40 to keep things down to a dull manageable roar so if you really want to be there you have to let me know. I'll do the same as last year and start a tentative list and then a ways out I'll call for payment and that will be the deciding factor.

I'll be doing the same registration fee ($75) and t-shirt ($15 unless the cost has changed) fees this year too so part of the cost can go to the Stephen Doyle Children fund. We are changing a few things to try to reduce the actual expenses compared to last year.

Any other questions? Can people who figure they're past 50% sure they can/want to make it start PM'ing me?

    cheers mike

I'm lurking about on the site trying to put together ferry schedules, motoring routes and the likes.

Is there any place to park a car and trailer at the ferry site and just take my KLX across to the rally? Is there a safer option than this that you recommend?

I'm not sure, you could try a post on the ridetherock thread (my sig link) or nova scotia dualsoport? Is your KLX plated? You'd miss out on a lot of great coastal roads for scenery if not

Hey I know right where you're at :D I drive within a few miles of you when I ski the eastern townships. If you leave the 24th will you make the ferry on the 25th?

I'm not sure if I'll be hauling the KLX on a trailer, or if I'll find a used F650 by then and ride it all the way.

It would be most fun to ride over with a bunch of folks though.

have you been cruising the flea market or putting up a wanted post in your regional threads? I met a bunch of you down easters at CroMag '08, which incidentally was the impetus for hosting the Soiree.

I'm just starting the search now. I had planned on Cromag last year but at the last minute there was no trailer parking available so I bailed. Maine to VT is a long haul on a 250.

I was busy & couldn't make it either. How about a '97 F650 that shows a lot of its age but runs well?

my buddy has it here, I'll drop him an email and see what he says. He's only about 5'5" or 5'6" and did well with it. If I recall correctly it's got pretty new TKC's on it. I think he's willing to let it go as he just found a perfect R80GS for himself.

Put me on the testicles... uh tentacles... I mean tentative list. It's a long way off so that should provide plenty of time to make it so...
