yeah, I'm disappointed in all you CroMag cronies seeing as my time there last year was the catalyst for me to organize this and I don't think a single one is actually going to show up? :ddog

Cromag cronies are poseurs!! Thought you knew that?

Wish I could be there. But it seems getting laid off and getting laid are similar - if you don't have protection, they're both going to affect you for years...

    See you in 2013!

Now someone put up some pics of those waitresses!

Glad to help out and I really wish we were there. Newfoundland is the only place I've ever gone where I was homesick for it even after only 10 days of visiting.

Next year we plan to get over... for sure.

My buddy Brian just bought himself a brand new CBF1000, so it was pretty easy to convince him to take Friday afternoon off work, and ride to New Melbourne with me, to check out how things were going at Mike's now famous 'Skibum Soiree 09' adventure rider get together.

It was a 360 km return trip for us. We had perfect weather, and we thoroughly enjoyed both our spirited blast along the twisty coastal roads of Route 80, and our couple of hours spent hangin' out at the always laid back New Melbourne beach, with the surfers and adventure riders.

    Here's some snaps...

Me and Gregster are the official "bitch keg" floater team. We worked on it hard until 4 am again. Was a grand time.

Bring that SOB on up here, lets ride. If you are scared go to church.

Could not be more perfect here at Craigs Surfhouse that has been the greatest place I have ever surfed the internet, I hear the surf is not that bad thanks to Mr Bcane.

Some people really screwed up not making this one hurricane or not.

Good times, I'm uploading pics right now from the last three days. I think it was a success by the smiles on peoples faces and I'm happy that regfoo2 actually made the effort to get here and represent all the lazy CroMagnons who bailed. :thumb

there were 5 on the boat when we went to meet them for the offroad ride up the railway from Argentia.

regfoo2 was on street rubber and opted to stick to pavement
    [IMG]
gregster was on a K1000 and followed dougger and regfoo2
    [IMG]
ITsteve was all over it on his KLR
    [IMG]
throttlemeister joined the offroad crew for the first 5 km's then opted for a road tour instead
    [IMG]
dancingboy was keen to get some offroad time in on his GS1200 too
    [IMG]

I met up with Davem and cage for the Argentia ride at the ferry and dougger was there too to take peoples gear and the beer up to my place in his truck. Thanks Doug!

More to come from the railbed ride and all the fun that followed!:ricky

You guys are freaks! I went outside to look around a little before 8 am and there was only one tent standing, holy cow you all split early! But as I recollect it was the same when I was at CroMag, even I was packed by 8:30.

Back to the beginning of the story
    tips to remember
    [IMG]
Doug was the man of the day for picking up the beer and coming to meet the boat so the guys could offload some gear for the railbed run. Thanks again Doug, this event wouldn't have been possible without your contributions;)

    the offloading begins
