I know it's flat around here, but that's no excuse not to get out to the slopes.

    Any skiers in northern Changolia?

Anyone up for an evening trip to Grand Geneva, Alpine, or Wilmot when the snow flys?

there is a good slope at the farm, but that fence at the bottom makes it tricky.

Grand Geneva might be fun. The skiing is very lame, but a good bar. Wilmot a little bigger, not too bad. Alpine a bit longer. Vail, really nice!

How about Winter Park? I used to go there every year, Wi. or the UP would also suffice though.

No offense to the Chain gang, but there really is no 'skiing' in Chaingolia!

If I have my choice of driving six hours or flying 3 for some real mountains, the jet gets my vote everytime. I have not skied around here in 10+ years, but it might be fun to break out a snowboard for these little mounds that we call snow hills.

LIP is in if the schedule permits.

Whew! I thought I may have offended you during a PUI session :freaky

Here is something I thought significant, well maybe not significant but...........

Anyway. I was out riding today and ran into a guy in SE OH. He said that he had 200,000 miles (total) on a couple different bikes. And you're saying to yourself, "yeah dragoon is an ass I know lots of guys like that." :nod

The kicker is he claims he's never been more than 100 miles from his house.

So there you go Chain, something significant by dragoon :D

I am interested in Grand Geveva.

I replied to the Ski Patrol that I could not make it on that Sunday but was interested in the program but have not heard back.

Marquette MI skiing looked pretty good as well.

You threw an edit in there on me. :deal

I haven't read your gravel reports but I think we try and do the same thing here. We'll pick a day with the Gazzeteer and get lost. I don't have a chain but I plan on coming to one of your gatherings whether you want me to or not :lol3

We had a pretty cool gravel poker run here about a month ago, goonfest 04:thumb Probably 20 or so dual sports.

Next year we can have a summit with Chaingayla & Riderland at GoonFest 05 :nod First weekend in Oct :freaky

    Peace :D

You riderlanders are most welcome here, but be warned a weekend at the farm will change your life :evil
Many have come with shaft only to return with chain :lol3
there is talk of a winter ride though enthusiasm seems limited
Sometime in early April we will do a Spring ride that is sure to be unorganized and properly primitive. you should try to make it and bring King dan of the civic tribe. Our rides generally involve trails, gravel, guns, and alcohol, a rather entertaining combination :D

Yes, skiing is Chaingolia is kinda flat, but it's only an hour to the hill, and a great escape mid-week. Some people bowl, some play pool; I ski for few hours, have a few beers and I'm home by midnight. If all goes well, no one get hurt and I manage to get some very fast laps in.

If somene gets hurt, we get to do fun stuff:
