Bummed I missed it but adding to the discussion for next year...
Up there somewhere, north of Mulberry Mtn (I think) I came across a vintage motorcycle rally/race. There were several rows of camping with paved lanes between and the whole area backed up to woods that had an mx track right there. I can't remember what road it was on and I've tried to find it but it was a good sized event. Seemed like a sweet spot.

Looking at Google Maps sat view, it might be Silver Mtn Campground.

I've always liked Byrd's in that the restaurant and store are right there. But my days of camping by that river are over. I'll be up on the high and dry area from here on out.

I don’t know, they definitely had a rally going on and were all camped out. I think there’s a bbq/bar there too. Looked like a party and lots of cool vintage dirt bikes gearing up for a Steve McQueen style race.

Could be the Razorback riders camp if it was in the mill creek area

the RR camp is not the one linked/mapped above by @guavadude

But the RR camp probably was what others referenced having seen as they host Vintage Enduro every year, and you would have driven by/near it between Silver Mountain and the SLAP site.

RR camp is 2 mi due south of Combs, AR on Mill Creek Road.
It's a private camp area, so you can't just go in there w/out being a guest of a member.

I'm almost certain the place I checked out was the Silver Mtn Camp. I rode around that paved camping circle and I can see the dirt track there on the sat view map. I actually thought when I was there that it would be a good spot for SLAP. But then again I'm from Texas so I don't think my opinion counts for very much.
