Nope, sober as a Baptist judge and twice as mean.
LDLS is coming up soon. You and Bob should come out in the shag wagon with 2 running bikes rhis year.
They’d have to bring a dozen just to be sure.
Two running bikes?.........you ask too much.
sorry did not see that part my bad, my dad was born in halfmoon Arkansas.
John H. Gaines.... Eddie, not sure how much family history you know, but Danny and I, both have extensive research... our grandfather, your gr-grandfather Thomas Zebedee (Zeb) Gaines moved his family from Lauderdale Co., TN around 1924-25, to Akansas ..his first wife and mother of all his children died in 1922, clifford (1906), Agnes (1908), John Henry (1910), George Thomas (1914), Eddie (1917) and Mary (1921) all relocated with him.He remarried in TN in 1924 (Ella Cashion)..he had a small farm in TN, 20 acres that he inherited when his dad died in 1909. but in Arkansas he had an uncle..capers Simpson, a half brother, Eddie Ommer (Bump) Gaines and several cousins..HIs mother Nancy Simpson Gaines had moved over earlier to live with her brother Capers Simpson,in fact she died there in 1917 and is buried near her brother in Blytheville, AR..The siblings began to marry in AR, your grandfather married Sally Bigham in 1935, My dad, John Henry married in 1933...
Nice History! Wish I knew more about my late father's side of the family. I don't think I've ever heard of someone called Capers.
I am in. See you all there.
I'll be there with a running bike. I ride a DR, they aways run. As for riding it in the sand, that's another thing altogether.
I have camped at the Mulberry many times. Good location, Easy to get to.
Their bath house is top notch. The place is huuuuge. They have massive concerts over there, so they can handle our little group.
So, since it's a 15th SLAP and 10th anniversary of Tulsa Tuesday Pub Crawl I don't see how I can get out of this one.
I took my DR over there 3 times in a row. Excellent dune bike. Especially on Kenda 270s.
Well, it is the best bike in the world, and some of the world is covered in sand, so it only makes sense
I should try to make it again this year . Great hospitality from everyone there last year . The guys around the “beer pool” kept saving the IPA’s for me .
It would appear that the Canadian bunch will be there once again...so far. At least four or five of us. Your idea of "primitive camping" is probably luxury accommodations compared to what we are used to.
Sounds like fun, may have to try this out .
I'll be back again this year!
So, what's the deal with shirts? I imagine you need some lead time, can I ask for a different color this year?
So close to home, I'll be there!
I plan to be there
