SCR is next weekend. We will be staying at Gansers in Sauk City. See y'all there
Considering going to the Slimey Crud Run in a couple months. I really enjoy seeing the many types of bikes which usually attend there. But..... from the YouTube videos that I have been watching it seems as though it has been largely taken over by the Harley Davidson do-rag crowd. Don't get me wrong, I own several HDs but I prefer a more European and vintage Japanese vibe as opposed to the "Harley Thang' ". Am I wrong in my assumption, based on the videos of the last couple of years ????
No Worries, there are plenty of rare and vintage Euro and Jap bikes there too.
^^^It is worth the trip. Not only will you find the euro bikes at the two venues, Pine Bluff and Leland, but the roads in between and all around the area known as alphabet roads are wonderful to ride.
Yeah, I thought the last one had too much of a HD flood run thing going on.
2014 pics I have here was the last of the best one I went too.
Always is best the first few times, usually the 2nd (more experience, know what to see and do, not wasting time).
last time i was there, HD was in the minority by a long shot.
Was it raining?
I went for the first time last year, so I can't make any comparisons. There were a lot of Euro and Asian bikes, both new and vintage. I followed a guy up to Leland on some roads where we didn't even see any other bikes. So it did not seem like a Harley run to me. It is on my calendar for this year.
First time I went to The Red Mouse was the best one. Maybe 5 years ago. Got the T shirt too. Rode to Madison and stayed there Saturday night. Hit both locations on the way home.
First time was Leland only, day ride with a group. 550 miles in one day. Riding so damn far kinda lost the vibe but TONS of great roads. Maybe 7 years ago or so.
This is relatively new.
Here is an older one. I didn't even know about it until 10 years ago.
Yup if it’s looks like rain or overcast and cold most of the harlistas stay home
This Sunday folks. Weather looks cooperative!
I will be there
Talked with the owner of this rig. Sidecar is air conditioned to keep the dog cool in hot weather.
I'd go but I was busy today and I need to insulate tomorrow.
Tearing down the kitchen after I get the living room and hallway insulated.
Probably tomorrow afternoon.
3 guys from MSTA made it to Leland yesterday and put up a few pics. I didn't go though.
