Well that TreMoto looks like fun, good pics!
Too many Beemers, didn't read.
Nice pictures Jim, Thank you.
Nice photos, Jim.
Wide open with a fast prime and a ND, I assume? You came prepared!
Sorry to hear about Al. I hope he heals well and quits his drinking.
Thanks Dan, Always cool to see your muddy ride reports.
The Tremoto dude was thinking about dirt tires and some trail riding.
On Facebook, the chop/mod Airheads are very popular. This dude lost at the most 5 pounds of safety lights and fiberglass fenders. I wouldn't like to travel across Chicago at night in a rain storm on this rig. It looks like it would be fine for an afternoon ride in the countryside. I took the pictures more in awe than thinking it was a beauty. It is cool that someone is riding and enjoying the bike, much better than rusting in the back shed.
Brian you have a good photo IQ.
I bought a fast prime (Sigma 30mm 1.4 for $230) and added a neutral density filters so I could shot wide open. Camera is an entry level Nikon D5100.
You and me both, I'll pass that on to him.
I agree 100 percent, I wouldn't do that to a bike but I like a well done one, and if it is rescued from a scrap heap, even better. I am afraid I might like the ride of one actually, but I would try and lighten it a lot more.
I was going through some photos from the beginning of the summer and i forgot about my crud ride photos. thought I would share. I won't be able to make the fall run...but you should!!
Might be swinging by on our way home.
Any tips for a NoOb to this event? Best time, place, ect...
Was thinking of making a weekend of it now I have guests to entertain.
Not really, it's not an organized event. Try to be in Pine Bluff between 10:00 & 11:00 or so, look at bikes, talk smart, pick a fun looking route & be in Leland around 1:00. Good luck finding a spot to park in Leland, unless the weather is slimey.
It does look like it could be slimey, so I'm not washing my bike till AFTER.
I'll be driving my truck, towing a car on a trailer down hwy 60 between Spring Green and Sauk City around noon. Try to stay on your side of the road mmmmK?
Having gone to the crud for the first time in 1988 and then going to the recent ones, I tend to stay away.
Dude, you're OLD.
So the last time you were at a Crud Run was 2 months before I was born?
Thinking about Pine Bluff around 11 am ish with the kid depending on weather...ADV parking spot is where?
No, the first time
My advice is to bring a kickstand puck, because much of the parking is in grass/soft ground. Also, keep the speeds down near town. The cops are pretty familiar with this event. They leave you alone unless you are speeding/acting up.
If attendance is down, don't go to Juniors for a summer sausage sandwich the next weekend, they'll be 7 days old. :huh
On Sunday Oct. 6 the Cross Plains Fire Department will be serving breakfast from 7:30 - 12:30 at the firehouse on Bourbon Road in Cross Plains.

Good food and an opportunity to show moto support for a local organization.
For those of you who know Bucky Dual Sport creator Crowbait - he'll be there serving or cooking. I'm guessing they won't let Hydrant (his ever-present Dalmatian) in though.
meeting my dad in Spring Green after stopping in Pine Bluff, from there I will go onto Leland.
I should be there with Daamud, on our way back across the state. Should be a good time!
I will make it to Pine Bluff rain or shine.
Don't know about Leland yet.
It gets pretty crowded up there.
