I usually do the same, go to Leland early, and leave early before it gets too nuts. This year, there were too many fine folks to talk to, so I stayed a little later than normal. When I left, I took Leland Road west, just me, a Guzzi Stelvio and a Buell Ullyses.

Hopefully some of the Crud gang can start coming up to the Viroqua rally! Its cool that it is mostly oddball bikes showing up!

So is it too early to start beating the Crud drum? May 4th is coming along soon.

Never too early to talk crud! I plan on taking the 86 VFR this spring, otherwise the Tiger will be the chosen mode of transport......:D

Anybody up for a lil dual sport ride that ends up in Leland for the Crud?
I live 10 minutes from Leland, and know a lot of the roads and trails.

How challenging of a route are we talking? I'd love to muddy up my WR250X but its not on knobbies.

Nothing to bad, just some twisty township roads with a little gravel and maybe some dirt trails mixed in. I was trying to get a ride going on the DR forum, but not much interest I guess. I was thinking of riding some of the TWAT then looping into Leland.

FBR - I'd love to ride with you on some of those trails later this season.

Unfortunately, due to work, I will only be able to attend the Crud Run in the morning. But I'm thinking of mounting some 50/50 tires in a couple of months and would love to explore some mild trails.

What will you be riding to the Crud Run?

Im thinking of running over to Wildcat Fri night. FBR is meeting me there Sat morn, and were running down the TWAT...probably camping somewhere south (Nelson Dewey?). Sun over to the Crud, then off on our separate ways.

BTW, I'm planning to run my street wheels with Shinko 705's, so hopefully the dirt isn't too soupy...

705's will be fine. TWAT is easy going in the southern area, mostly gravel with a few little stream crossings. If it is real muddy my cousin won't want us ripping up the farm anyways. We will play it by the weather.
Cool, looks like we are gaining a few riders!

Yeah I ran the entire TWAT a couple years back (LINK), and most of the southern section a few times...always on the D606's though. I'm sure the 705's will be fine down there.

:clap I may have talked a buddy of mine into coming on his XR650L too.
