I have an old Garmin ZUMO GPS that I am now using with a MAC computer. The refresh time is agonizing. Has anybody else seen this? I am tempted to get a used laptop for mapping because it can take 20 minutes to plan a short trip on BaseCamp.

    Thanks.,

In basecamp, is the map selected from the zumo or the computer?
I never do any basecamp while the zumo is connected.
I presume you did install the map on the compûter too, right?!!!

Old Zumo like 660 or before have usb about 900kB/s which is ridiculously slow (and it is not a flashcard issue, the same extension card direct on PC does 20-25MB/s; it's a firmware/hardware limitation).
