I'm planning a trip with nine riders from NYC to the Asheville, North Carolina area and need some ride advice from any local natives. Any must see areas?

head west till you get to the hills and find any road but the slab south!!! :thumb

Blowing Rock and Grandfather mountain in NC is good. :nod

At Asheville, you'll be close to Deals Gap see www.tailofthedragon.com

You'll have the Blue Ridge Parkway to ride. There are many links to that ride. Do a search here and you'll find info.

how much time ya got for the trip?

Call 1-800-visit-NC, visit TN, for a free travel packet for the state! These are available for most or all states! You'll get a nice package with some maps & stuff!
A friend of mine visited the Biltmore Estate's several years ago in Asheville, said it was really cool!
Go to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, up over the Smokies to Cherokee, Fontana dam, Deals Gap, Maryville, Back to Pigeon Forge & race some Go carts! This can be done easily in a day!!:drums

Frisbee, There's tons of great roads to ride, paved and gravel. Chimney Rock is a neat place along with any of the surrounding small towns, Brevard, Waynesville, Hendersonville, Weaverville (where I live), Hot Springs. All of these are within a 30 mile radius of Asheville. Are you looking for places to ride, touristy places, or other?
