Evil was still the original badass.
Got to meet him once in Daytona. He was old and decrepit by then.

Up stream from Evil's dusty campground, there was a fair sized park with a long, narrow road going in. Chock full of lunatic's. Especially Friday night, when nobody ran out of nothing. Even for the seventy's, it was epic. I suppose there was an undercover officer or two around, but by Saturday morning, all the uniform's stayed on the road outside. Anybody that think's evil was crazier than his fan's have no idea.

From cliff's along the river, we saw him land in shallow water along the bank. Chopper had him in no time. Did he pop the chute by mistake? Could of. Another story I heard much later said his deal with the BLM north of the canyon had fallen through, and he didn't have permission to land there.

It was fun, but by Sunday I'd had enough. Bike was packed, and I was the first guy out of town.
