They look good for the price. I was cold last weekend. I doubt it even dropped below 7 degrees. The expandable design looks good. I hate mummy bags but if it's cold enough I can deal with being wrapped up.

    I have a Softie 3 and a Soft 9.

I really rate these bags and have put them through their paces. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Hows the softie 3 for cold temps. The website says -5 comfortable and -10 survivable.
I'm not likely to camp that cold but would like to know if their ratings are accurate.

Are you getting the bags mixed up? The softie 3 is a 0 comfort and -5 extreme. The stats you mentioned are for the 9. I would say that they are true to their temps though.

That being said they seem really thin when you roll them out but are really incredibly warm. The warmest bag of that pack size that I have ever slept in for the softie 3.

If purchasing keep in mind that these come in a left and right hand side zip design. Usually the discounted bags or cheaper bags if the site doesn't offer the choice are left hand zip.
If this matters to you then check which it is before buying.

Hmm I just checked the website and I see that the temps are as you say......

I wonder if I have an older model or something. I even just pulled them out of the cupboard to check.

I think it is because that is the "Elite" model.

Mine is a Softie 3 Merlin.

    Very well priced bags.

Just got a -15 bag from them on sale for $99.
Not the smallest pack down size but will still fit in my current and (hopefully) future minimalist set up.

Their "system" has appeal as an all-round solution. They aren't cheap though.
