Doug, Seeing the picture of your scoot was the final impetus for me look for and buy a 2020. Thanks
You meet the nicest people on a scooter.
Your scoot is beautiful. Top box looks better than my imagination, I might reconsider and get one. If you install the led running lights and air horn yourself please t are pictures and difficulty level. Thanks
Are all the 2020 300s HPE? Do they all have ABS? How widespead is the spongy brake problem?
All GTS after 2016 have ABS as an EU mandate. They updated the system with the 2020 model. Spongy brake has been reported several times on Modern Vespa but we don’t know how widespread yet.
Read my latest post on the spongy front brake issue .
The Green Hornet never experienced spongy brakes. Now have over 1700 miles.
Any updated pics of your adventures on the the mighty Green Hornet?!
Sorry for the gap in “adventure “ scooter pictures. We decided to close up our summer digs in Wisconsin and head back to Indiana a month earlier than normal. Takes a lot of days to do that since I only work 2-4 hours/day before I’m done for. Two boats, three cars, two motorcycles, four kayaks, hot tub and house all had to be winterized. I have a guy to pull out my dock. No time for scootering fun. The good news is I decided to bring the Green Hornet to Indiana. We arrived at mid nite. Adventures will resume soon. Pictures too.
I hope your summer was good in Wisconsin!
Nice bike I am jealous, I have the 150 S and love it but wish I had the 300, but the are twice price in Thailand as the 150 is made in Vietnam as the 300 is Italian made. I wish you many happy years ride that fine machine.
Thanks. It always is but this year was shorter than most. Spring was late and fall came early so we only had Three good months this year. The forecast was rain every day for the next three weeks so we went south. It’s 81 and sunny here today. Gotta get everything unpacked and go riding.
Do you switch to the Colts for the rest of the year?
Spring didn't really happen here. We had a couple days off it in July then straight to summer. Fall is a bit later than normal here. Trees are just turning and weather is excellent for riding right now though if you are going to be or early or late you will need layers.
No. Use to when I lived here and they had a guy named Peyton. But then we moved to the frozen tundra and got to love a guy named Brett and his successor Aaron. We fly the Green Bay Packers flag every game day
Finally got enough ahead of work to take a ride in Indiana. Weather here has been record breaking in the 90s. I had the flyscreen and mirrors off for transport from Wisconsin and decided not to remount flyscreen due to the weather. Glad I did as it demonstrated just how much turbulence it was causing. This is the only picture I took of my first Indy ride. Straight, level roads surrounded by corn. In a couple of weeks I’m headed to southern Indiana where the roads are more crooked and hilly.
I've been thinking about taking the screen off mine too.
I usually prefer a mid height screen anyway.
Hey @Rick G , saw your post in the "what bike do you want today" thread, so I thought I'd point you in this direction.
Just read the entire thread thanks to @Florida Lime . It is getting me excited to pick my scoot up on Tuesday. Your pics have made me feel better about my choice of green. To be honest, I went in thinking of the matt blue Super that I saw on their website. But they had this one already set up with the topbox. It looked so classy with the dark green and brown saddle with matching top box that I decided on the spot I wanted that one instead. Since I have been second guessing as the blue is very cool. However long term, I think the Green will age better and I would get tired of that blue.
