That red is striking! That may be the most sensuous, least practical scooter I've seen. And, I mean that in the nicest way possible. I haven't seen a 946 in red before... that is a piece of rolling art! :thumb

    Yes, that’s a 946.

It’s a very sexy, expensive, small scooter with no storage. Not for everyone but for some it’s everything!

Someone asked about 2 up riding, no issue handles pretty much the same (Wife's 49 KG, me 89 KG), they are not sport bikes but I assume we all already know that. My bike is just the 150 GTS Super, the Vietnamese manufactured one, I am not sure the US gets this one. It is surprisingly in fairness only about 12KPH slower than the 300 (I THRASHED BOTH) but I would have preferred the 300 but in Thailand the import duty from Italy is nuts and literally makes the 300 twice the price of the 150. Anyway to answer your question they ride great with 2 up this being my wife's favorite over my Desert Sled other scooter's or my previous Triumph street scrambler. That is pretty good going.

I have also added a Remus carbon fiber exhaust (Wanted stainless but beggars) which not only looks good but sounds so much better, in a big way. I don't really feel and more power but at 150cc auto who would tell.

359DE479-AAFC-41E6-894A-8DD8ED8075A6.jpeg I haven’t been riding the Green Hornet much in Indiana. About 200 miles so far. Too many distractions. I did take it for a short ride earlier tonight to pick up some Chinese for dinner. First time I’ve used it for anything other than a joy ride. Emptied the pet carrier before I left. Food was nice and hot when I returned. I did try to take a sunset picture. Not as good as I’d like but I’ll improve with practice.

The 946 is a tribute to when Piaggio started making Vespas in 1946 thus the 946 reference. It is hand made and the body is made out of aluminium I believe. Post WWII steel was a rare commodity so the first Vespas were made out of aluminum. It has standard 100% LED lighting, ABS, traction control and I believe in the UK a whopping 110cc motor. The saddle and grips are hand stitched leather as well.

Don't forget the most important part, 10 Grand! More than what I just paid for my 2020 GTS 300 HPE Touring. Umm....no thanks. For 5-6 Grand it would be a hit!! For 10 Grand a rich toy! All style, virtually no utility.

The US gets the 150 Super made in Italy

The 150s are better two up due to their narrower rear.

In some ways I preferred my Sprint 150 to my GTS. HPE. Better fit & finish, handling, and I found the air cooled mill to have more charm than the liquid cooled GTS engine.

Not much slower either, up to about 50 mph. Awesome around town! The extra 10 or 15 mph top speed, and more passing power everywhere is nice on the GTS though.

If I wasn’t ever going on roads with 55+ speed limits, then I would have stuck with the 150. It was a little bit more fun.

Right then, I’ll keep away from the 946.

You're right, you'd have to be an idiot to buy one.

Well, to be fair: an idiot with $10 grand. And an eye for beautiful design.

I didn't say they weren't very cool looking, or that you would be an idiot, just said compared to a new GTS, with less utility it is a rich kid toy.

In this country a GTS is a rich kid toy.
