I have a 2020 790 Adv R reserved month ago, the dealer said that the price could be a bit higher, and yesterday they confirmed that it is arrund 300€ higher, I´m still waiting the dealer to answer me about what improvements it has to justify that higher price, hopefully is the price with the rally mode included....
BTW, they expect to have stock in January here in Spain.

you know, there is something called "inflation" and is normal year by year the goods to have a higher price.
So, even if are no changes (which are likely no changes) is normal to be such a raise in the price.

Some dealers in the UK are already discounting 790Rs by around €500, expect bigger discounts in January/February.

Yeah, that would makes sense if every motorbike increase their prices on 2020, but looks like it will not happen.

It looks more line the Offer/Demand balance, they will increase the price because there was more demand than offer. basically bacause they can and We will continue buying it. I want to think that there is some upgrade on the bike to justify that higher price but I don´t have any info about yet.

I just left the dealer, they confirmed that Rally mode is still standard on the R model. They wouldn't budge on the list price though so I'm going to call around and see if anyone is. My total out the door was 15,400 including my $500 sales tax with heated grips and cruise which isn't bad, they said all software upgrades are 20% off this month so that helps with add ons.

Make sure you sponsor BDR at the silver level for $250 at least 2 weeks before you sign the contract. In turn you will get a load of swag, including a $500 VIP card from KTM which should cover the PP options you want (grips and cruise). Note that if you already have one from a test ride at a rally earlier in the year, they will only honor 1 of the VIP cards.

Ok, so I got them to knock 500 bucks off the bike, that along with the KTM 500 card for $250 and helping out the BDR folks I'm deposited and first in line for the next one that comes in which is Que-ed for delivery whatever that means. Hopefully this month, I'm not good at being patient when waiting for new toys...

Do we think the 2020 will have the shock and new model issues sorted?

yes but,,,,, arent the 2020 and forward bikes being built offshore specifically to reduce cost?

this seems to be a trend in most companies these days,,,, introduce a partnership off shore to reduce cost of manufacture,,, yet price to customer continues to rise.

Its been since June, but IIRC they are good for the calendar year in which they are issued, so a pretty narrow window. If you have a pending contract, or a deposit on a fall 2020, I would buy it now. If there is any chance that the transaction rolls into 2020, then I would wait until January to sponsor. All of the other bennies are also based on calendar year, so you would get a lot more out of it from that point if you cut the deal in January.

No to offshore? Or no to reducing cost?

Thanks for the info ... That was my concern based on the way BDR’s website was worded. I’d emailed them, but no response. Mine will definitely not be here until after the first of the year, so a 2020 purchase for me-

I’ll check the BDR website again in Jan-

modest increase has been the norm across the board,,, seems $3-400 is what everyone is doing.

No clue, I’ll post details once received.

Edit: The thank you letter included tons of discount codes for goods and services, which are live now.
