I read they’re all going to be produced in Austria. The CF moto thing was them selling IP to allow CF moto to make their own version of that engine. CEO said they’ll all be Austria, so good news!

he also mentioned the tolerances would be less in China, so doubly good news:)

As soon as I saw your post I looked on the inventory listing for the dealer where I have a deposit down on a '20 ADVr. There is one one listed on the site. Got a call into the sales person to see what's up.:hmmmmm

Mine landed in Washington State today. Went to visit the crate and buy the only CC switch they had in stock. They got 4 R’s, and I believe they are all spoken for already.
Hopefully it will be put together in time for the snow and 50mph winds we are getting tomorrow!

Dealer called today.. I'm in SLC, Utah. Dealer is in Provo, UT. They got 3 in.. all with deposits on them.. I grabbed a big stinky pile of cash and slapped it down. Two new bikes in one year! Probably the only time that will ever happen in my life.. I hope I love the new 790R as much as I love the 300 XCW. They told me that rally mode would be enabled automatically after 600 miles..? I unloaded it in the freezing darkness here and haven't touched it yet. No owners manual.. which is incredibly lame.. and nearly a deal breaker for me.. just on principal. Its all pretty surreal right now.. But.. its definitely lurking in the garage. $13.7K OTD.. I think that is pretty good!

It's amazing how little KTM trains/shares information with their dealers... But rally mode should be there from the get go. As far as software that comes with the bike it should be exactly the same as the 2019's. At least mine is, rally enabled, quick shifter on but need to pay to be able to turn it off.

Strange. I got my R way back in late June and the R was supposed to come with Rally mode included. I think Rally Mode was extra for the non R model. Extra was cruise control and quick shifter. The quick shifter came activated on the bike but the option on the display to turn it off was absent, so as Toddv said, you have to pay to have the option to turn it off. Wonder if the Rally Mode cost is a 2020 thing or your dealer is gouging you.

May be worth calling around to other dealers and just ask them.

I picked my 2020 R model up a week ago and I'm speaking from my experience FWIW. The website is wrong and the dealers don't know what's going on. Mine gave me some bad info also but the bike tells the story.

Interesting that it comes without the skidplate and tankguards installed. I ran out of fuel the first tank because the fuel petcocks were left closed. I figured it was a factory screwup but is looking like a PDI screwup...
