Not this time just heading home. I want to do Urique to Bata ride but XCo would need a few changes (most noticably stiffer rear spring) and water is still high need a few more weeks.

The X Country Headlight bucket is pretty small and I've not run into a lamp module that looks like it would fit into it. I found that LSL Spiegler makes headlight mounting brackets
    https://spieglerusa.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=headlight+bracket

and so I thought it might be pretty simple to retrofit a different bucket - like one of the [cough] Harley Davidson 5-3/4" or 7" "Daymaker Headlights or similar. This is on Amazon:

I actually have my headlight off the bike and apart so I can take some pictures and measurements if you want. I bought an H4 LED module from @sanjoh but it's been too cold to work out in the garage so I haven't installed it yet. http://stores.advmonster.com/budget-h4-led/
I know that's not what you are asking about but thought I would throw it out there anyway.

Yes, oem. Doesn't affect performance. Plenty of light at night.

Louis has a large selection of road legal headlights. Perhaps one of them is a fit for the Xcountry

Just added these under bar mirrors. I like the look. Also last week an Antigravity lithium.....the weight savings alone is pretty amazing.

so, I tried to order a Scorpion slip-on. From England. The shop advised me of import tax/customs fees? Probably minimal but it raised a red flag and I canceled the order. Anybody know the truth? Also both my headlight brackets are cracked. Can I get some universal fit 45mm metal or is my only option $100/ea oem’s?

Used brackets come up for sale every now and then but aftermarket ones should be a possibility.
Ask yourself if you are planning on a headlight/mask thingy in the future....
I got the Lynx R on mine and I'm pretty pleased with it.

    I'm excited!

Yesterday I ordered my tires that will hopefully provide much more off-road grip (TKC80's, front & rear - I currently have ~90/10's road/off-road tires). I am going to wimp out and have Cycle Gear install them for either $20 or $25 each wheel + 2 tubes + tax

Also, a Shorai lithium battery & Shorai charger will be delivered Monday so, I'll charge that and toss it in

And my rear turn signals will be replaced - the ones that came with it were "attached" after breaking with some sort of bendable black rubber crap - the new ones arrived yesterday

Oh - and the Scorpion exhaust can is also scheduled to be tossed on

So woo-hoo for getting the old beast running again!

Hopefully I'll post a photo or two soon while on my next adventure!

    :)

I have purchased stuff from MotoMachines and they have excellent customer service. They also carry hepco-becker stuff like the luggage and pannier racks, and headlight grille

Also - here's their link to the oval Scorpion can which might fit better -
