Mine would be original for sure. Quite dirty but is pinkish. Currently I'm struggling with the springs, getting the cap off.

Mine was dirty but not as much as I would expect.. and it was clear like Maxima.

Do you still have forks in triples? Undo top triple bolts and loosen up cap with 19mm. If you are not replacing seals or springs and don't need to change sag (mine were at 28-29%) just dump and pump there's no reason to take off caps good luck.

When i redone the suspension i discused at lenght with my suspension guru and he was very confident that the air gap sould be 120mm optimal and minimum 100 mm.

Is it for '07 or '09? '07 has longer forks.

i think this might work. remove the broken housing and light assembly. replace it with this one. i have no experience but they claimed it's bomb-proof.

i have put a lot of cheap tail lights on my xr400, including a DRC. none of them lasted long due to vibration and water intrusion. right now, it has the 701 tail light take off. if that fails too, i will try the Morimoto 5Stop.

i just installed the R & G tail tidy on my 701, looks great but the light assembly turned to be a problem. contacted twistedthrottle and never got response. i even sent email to R &G in UK, same no response.

the bracket is well made and kept it. installed 2 Skeen P3 lights to replace the R & G tail light...expensive fix.....:baldy

i don't have the bike with me and need to clean up my handlebar layout after picking her up from storage. the heated grips are a last-minute addition and rushed. even though i don't need them now, i still want the controller on the bar or somewhere, permanently or temp. looks like it can be mounted on the left side alum bar of the Barkbuster, sandwiched the bracket/mount between the clamp extension and bar. a longer bolt will be needed.

also be adding USB outlets and SAE connector in the cockpit. i appreciate if you could post up pics of your aftermarket add ons. thanks.

Does anyone have part # or good source for ignition key blank? Is it the same as for F650GS?

Yes the key blanks are the same as the 6S, the early carb F650, C1 and some R Series, I used R Series helmet locks as a basis for a topbox lock
