My personal statistics are: 2017 Bosch CX Performance line- 4000+ km without issue
    2019 Brose/ Specialized 2.1: 400km to belt failure/ 600 "noisy" km to warranty changeover
Different bikes, but same rider and (mostly) same trails
Looks pretty obvious until you consider the difference in fun factor....

Son finished his first Downhill race on the weekend. I've definitely lost my DH bike now. Conditions were very wet. Finished 6th in Under 17 Sport (novices) and had a great time.

    Yeah BawBaw.
No, Thredbo is a 9+hr drive for me and needs time off work that isn't easy.
Bike Buller in a few weeks, possibly Mt Beauty DH after that and Buller DH in April is all for the moment.
Hopefully some shuttle days or weekends in between.

Last year our local high school ran a ( small ) team and a teacher dealt with the driving / supervision et al. , one extra parent and about 6/7 kids. They all had a ball , but sprog 1 has talked me into helping this year. It sounded like a good idea at the time....... It's the only race she does ...I really should try to be supportive....

Hangover ride in the Mallee on the new HT before it gets too hot.
Sandy parts of the track made the legs burn.

Had to go away for work during the week and noticed before i left that Welby MTB park was nearby so chucked the Trance e in and managed to hit the trails each afternoon after work. Its not a big MTB park but still has an interesting mix of terrain and some great scenery. :ricky

How is everyone with taupe. I know it's not a real colour (like apricot, cherry and mango etc) but the local special shop said he has sold 9 out of 10 2020 Levo Comps in that colour. Anywho - told the man to take my money. Half deposit down on taupe in medium to help out the local economy. Should be here in 7 to 10 days. Sick of clockwork, old age and hills.

Rear gears failed this morning... shimano 'rapid fire' (rapid failure) so probably the cable snapped in the handle bar trigger.

Managed to get a flat on newish HT today, wouldn't hold air for more than 15mins at a time.
Was hoping the sealant would eventually block the offending hole(s), but no cigar.
She's hemorrhaging stans from the holes in the rim and around valve stem - i'm hoping it is not a cracked rim already (i am a bit hard on the gear tho:shog)

Btj - a split / cut / leak in the rim rape can track through the rim and leak like that.

I've given up on tubeless and am moving to tannus armour each time I replace a tyre

I hope that is all it is Doc.

I've had a bad run this year, i think I've split 7 tubes on my old HT and had to totally reseal the tubliss tyres on my dually to stop them going down between rides.

I've got some Stans tape which might be better than the original Giant shit.

try gorilla ( gaffa) tape - all the bicycle stuff is ultralight ( thin) film that once scratched is useless. The gaffa tape is much more forgiving and the glue re seals when tyre levers scratch it.

( I had a particularly nasty rim on my norco that took 18 months of stuffing around to get a decent seal)
