Today was the first time I've ridden it after rain- a completely different experience to the usual high speed roller coaster! Down the bottom of each gully was extremely slippery , and some of the apexes were covered in wet bark. Still magical , but glad I wasn't wearing a heart rate monitor!

Had a great weekend out at Whirinaki, just did the 16km MTB loop. The native forest there is spectacular.

    Had the trail to ourselves.

The Zerode is still doing the business.

Did our COVID (restricted to a 5km radius of home) ride today.
Fortunately we have some awesome gravel roads and bushland reserves/trails in the zone.
Very wet and muddy, but the Crossies rule.
Got the heart-rate up, didn't fall-off, happy days...:-)

That bike looks horny. Or at least those cows think the things poking up from the bars are horns.

Freestone creek track makes a surprisingly enjoyable bike ride on a cold rainy winters day.

Took the young fella from work for a peddle this arvo in Nerang state forrest. He picked up a new Giant Talon 1 last Friday arv and was is keen to ride. He did a little walking and seemed to enjoy it, well, he didn't vomit like last time, so that's a good sign.

Dangerous booby traps putting brakes on mountain biking on NSW Central Coast

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-08-27/nsw-central-coast-mountain-bike-trails/12598374

Police are investigating several apparent acts of sabotage on local trails.

In early August, a bed of nails was found on a track in the Bouddi National Park which punctured several riders' tyres.

Further north in Wyee, a seven-year-old boy suffered a friction burn to his throat after riding his bike into a piece of string tied between two trees.

"It was just a small child going out for a Sunday morning ride," the boy's mother Katrina Robins said.

    Terrible thing.
Saw something similar come up on the Specialized Turbo Levo FB page.
It was in French so not sure what the actual booby trap was, but a couple of riders with quite serious lacerations to legs and arms.

There are some real idiots about. Stupid thing is, they usually think they are doing the world a favour.
