Ideally, we should all have a huge garage with a kitchen and bedroom attached.

Five weeks??? you gotta be sh!tt!ng me....

It's been over five weeks since I've thrown a leg over the saddle to visit Sam and Colby up in Gardena. I've been busy getting the truck ready with some moto friendly farkles so I can use the Ranger as a basecamp to launch multi-day rides.

Rick texted me last night to ask if I was interested in a ride and that was the nudge I needed to break away from wrenching on the truck. Rick sent me a rough map of where we would be headed so I opted to take the F800 out for her easy handling and have enough power to keep up with Rick's GSA and Marc's Multistrada...

    The Plan:

8:30 am start at Pala Casino Gas Station
East on CA-76 to Cole Grade Rd
Bang a left on CA-78 to Ramona
    South to Wildcat Canyon Rd
    I-8 up to Alpine
South on Dehesa Rd to Campo Rd
Old Hwy 80 up to Sunrise Hwy
Late lunch at Dudley's in Santa Ysabel
Then head home via Old Julian Hwy/CA-78 to Oceanside

    1.jpg

I didn't take many motographs today, I just wanted to enjoy today's ride... I'm glad I took the F800 so I didn't have to wrestle with a heavier bike in and out of the curves. I was like this :ricky at all the curves we hit along our route...

It was a good ride with great company... and we got to break bread together at Dudley's in Santa Ysabel... We ended up getting sandwiches and we ate outside under a shade tree while partaking in some conversation to get caught up...

    Thanks for today's ride @rickj...

the day started out cool and overcast but that didn't last long as we headed inland...

We play the Lotto twice a week (when we remember to buy them) and scratchers once in a blue moon.

This past week we managed to win $15.00 on the scratchers (paid $10.00) and won a whopping $2.00 on the quick pick (paid $2.00)... I'm ahead $5.00 this week.... :lol3

Been on there three times... it's a fun trail but there's traffic coming both ways (not a lot) so you need to be careful going around the blind curves...

One of the guys at the shop juiced a scratcher for $30k a few years ago.

22yr old kid that works with a coworkers girlfriend popped one for $1m, about 3 months ago

I need one big enough to hold motos, ATV's, snowmobiles, and a variety of other toys, which is why I'm an overseas contractor and unable to enjoy the little things in life like riding every day, drinking a beer after work, etc...

That loop couple weeks ago looked like a good one, I might have to add or subtract on one of the rides. Also, I like white bikes and multi that multi looks great!

I've decided to end SoCal Motography Adventures after 100 pages and start a new so I can wipe the slate clean.

My adventures are taking me beyond San Diego and is the next step when I add the Ranger in the mix as my basecamp for longer adventures.

With that said I'm putting this baby to :snore...

Thanks for the kind words everyone... and I'm looking forward to exploring new places when the weather cools.

In the interim, I'm resetting my gear to support base-camping. I have received a few items already and some still on the way. I hope to kick things off in a couple of weeks... :thumb

Joel, I thought about that but I wanted a clean slate. Not to worry though as I will still do rides in and around SoCal. There are so many trails that are left undiscovered...
