Same here about the tie down hooks for me on all four corners... on other models they stuck straight out and could scrape on or off-road depending on the slope of the terrain... the MotoTote's are curved upwards...

Perfect. I'd be sleeping in the bed away from the ground bugs!

just sacked up and went for it. Ordered from dealer in Mesa Arizona, he was willing to let me make changes to an existing inventory order do spec it my way. Guy in Tracy, ca quoted me $4k higher and guy in San Diego wasn’t willing to do an order “they only order them this way”

    I got it:

Silver, roof rack, no ac, lifted, off road tires, slide out kitchen.

I’m super excited. It’ll be done By end of august

they had 4 on order, 2 with deposits already, now mine. They can’t keep em in stock

I’ll be honest, I’d like the explore’s height, but didn’t want the tip out bed. Also seems super tall and I wanted to keep it in the slipstream of the truck.

I was leaning towards the No Boundaries 10.6 cuz it doubles as a mini toy hauler...

Length wise it fits in my garage but I would need to get smaller tires to drop the height below 7' so I can slide it in there...

not sure I'm stoked on anything coming out of the forest river umbrella.

the explore will fit a 1200gs

guy in the explore thread in "camping" bought a set of 12" wheels/tires, swap em on, rolls in the garage, pull it out, swap wheels, and off ya go.

sans roof rack and no AC, 7'8"

12" wheel swap will put it well under a 7' garage door

Very neat!!! I did sorta the same ride on a Honda 230 enduro not that many years ago when I was living in "The OC" I stayed in the far right line expecting some one finger salutes but no one seemed to mind at all.

I certainly had fun traveling with the Monkey... whenever I pulled over for drivers to pass, I received a thank you wave as they passed by... a couple of fellow riders even gave me a thumbs up as they passed by.

Thanks Jim... I just wish the temps were more favorable out in our deserts now that trails are open again in DV...

Late fall and Winter to late Spring are when DV shines.

For now, you may find relief at altitude...

That depends on the size of your garage - size matters!!! My Minnesota 2 car garage is actually bigger than my Mission Viejo 3 car garage!!!

Nope... not in the SoCal suburbs, I can barely fit two cars in my two car garage.

If I get lucky with the Lotto or scratchers, I'll be building the mother of all man caves for all the toys...
