kp thanks for weighing in on this!

Serious story you tell about the button confusion that can happen, especially if a person owns multiple bikes like many of us riders do. To me the horn button on the bottom would be the best place for it, it is just a more natural spot if needed in a momentary response. The turn signal, that is something with a bit more planning and thought before using this it being above just makes more sense.

I'm surprised that is not more standardization on this!

BTW, nice DIY on your shift button!!(I really like that new NC750X with DCT, I hate shifting).

    Good hearing from you kp!

I usually get all my bikes ridden on Saturday morn's and I'd head over to Red Beach, but it doesn't sound like I could get near it, but very interesting Huladog. From the pic it doesn't look boat shaped, so :confused.

Hope all is well on the island, glad to hear from ya!

For my friend from Hawaii @Huladog (and not scooter related),

I went looking! I got to the pier area by 7 but couldn't find anything, starting asking some questions and found out the barge was just arriving on the north side of the pier at Kings Harbor. Ran into a closed area so figured this must be it, security fellow at the pay-for-park shack told me I couldn't go in.

But I could see a few people gathering and watching at the end of the road, so I asked about turning around, he told me to back up. I told him NO, I'm new to motorcycling, I need a turn around area, he laughed, opened the gate for me, and told me where to turn around. Ten minutes later I was waving good bye to him as I was riding out.:lol3

Turns out the barge was moving into place as I arrived, pretty large barge! I was talking to a couple guys that said the laser was gunna be arriving to the area last night, so I never saw the laser. I did capture a couple of pics just for sh*ts & giggles.

Hard to tell, the barge being placed into the docking area,

Although I struck out I did manage to rack up another 40 miles on the CRF-L since it's recall and dealer fix. I've put about 250 miles on it since then, so when I got back to the shop I changed the oil & filter, actually a good morning on the Honda. Not sure I've ever mentioned it, I HATE SHIFTING!

    This is bullcrap!!:dizave

    I'm contacting the mod's.

That being said, do you miss left seat Win? I know punching the clock, the late nights & early mornings, the being accountable...you probably don't miss that. But PIC, that's been your life for how many years? Will you ever fly for fun? Have you got an accounting of all your hours flown over the past decades?

My college instructor(taught one day a week for fun)was FedEx DC10 captain and later instructor at LAX, Bill Thomas. I later ran into him here in town after he'd retired, it didn't sound like he missed any of it.
