Crystal Dunn.... What an amazing match for her, and what an amazing player. She played Diani like a fiddle. Though Rapino's goals were fantastic, Dunn was player of the match for me.
    Good win USA
@BLucare ... Thanks for the Coffee shot out of my nose! Rafa left Newcastle, maybe for the Chelsea job? Tho not a fan fave, he is a great manger for a rich team

Dunn really did have a great game! Got beat by Diani a few times, but I can't name another defender who wouldn't, Diani is no schlub. Alex Morgan has been ineffective in scoring, but she is taking one for the team with the beating she's been getting. If she can't score herself, at least she's drawing the other teams defense and leaving opportunity for others.

You're very welcome :thumb I look forward to, and will take full advantage of, any opportunity to make fun of the French. :lol3

I wouldn't hate having Rafa at all. Newcastle and Mike Ashley made a BIG mistake letting him go. We'll have to see what happens.

One of the things I'm noticing in women's soccer/football is that when 2 players are running at each other to get the ball, BOTH will pull up.

Watching Mexico vs Costa Rica.. Have to turn it off at halftime as my shins and ankles are having intense and sudden phantom pains ... IDK why?

    Brutal match... Just brutal.

Ouch. Only 2/4 in the quarters. I'm not unhappy to see Sverige over Deutschland, and holy smokes it'd be fun to see a US-Sweden rematch in the final.

But England is going to be tough for the US...as will the US be tough for England. I hope it's a well-played match. Netherlands are the reigning Euro champs, and I think they'll be too much for Sweden.

My picks: US-Netherlands in the final next Sunday, Sweden vs. England for 3rd/4th on Saturday.

Interessant ... England's goal-keep is out injured and Megan Rapinoe is on the bench.

my wife was like... 'uhhhh thats dumb' I explained...if it ISNT injury, or direct strategy(like shes barely had a break), it's making a point. SO much attention is great for the shoert term... but it explodes your head... "too big for your boots" Fergie used to do that. Stars are important but they're nothing without a strong team.

love Megan of course, but if she is who I think she is, she gets it.

also, not sure it matters, Press is crushin it.

    this team is deep.

I dunno. I think she clipped her leg pretty good.

I LOVE watching the WWC, but I can't explain exactly why. I think it's because that's exactly how I'd like my girls to act when they grow up. Tough, strong, confident, fit. They look poised and happy to be there. Did you see Press after that goal? She let out a scream like a kid on Christmas.

Football translates well to the women's sides for sure. and at that level the technical skills are fantastic. IMO the penalty was soft at best. I wouldn't have called it even after review and a few of my Ref friends said the same.. Another letter of the law case that will be more commonplace as time goes on. But 7 mins of extra time in a 45 minute half is un acceptable. If that becomes the norm, expect to see commercials in your broadcast and replay in VAR stoppage.
