So the "pundits" again give a free pass to a white footballer - Harry Maguire. There has been no press coverage of what he did. Swept under the carpet.

Nice article that I read - "With Harry Maguire facing scrutiny for his alleged misconduct while on holiday in Greece, Ahmed Shooble considers how differently the British media might have covered the story if the player in question was not Maguire but Paul Pogba; and, more generally, he examines the double standard by which wealthy black footballers are often judged in the UK"

I have been following.. the stories differ greatly from one side to another.. The altercation over his sister's attack (drugging) is not contested . All accounts say she was. The issue seem to pivot on how the cops handled the situation afterwards.and the immediate trial that ensued If I was a betting man I would say that a high profile tourist being drugged in a local club would be bad for tourism.

    Meanwhile... Messi to City

    ^ Yup.

From what I've read, the Greek system seems like a complete and utter kangaroo court. Arrested on August 21, with a "trial" and a "conviction" on August 25 :lol3 And then, a conveniently "suspended sentence". What an absolute bunch of nonsense.

Sorry, now I'm delving into CSM. Back to football! :thumb

Messi to City would be, frankly, disappointing. We'd never hear the end of it: "Of course the best player in the world wants to come to the best team in England!!!!" Orrrrr, does he just want to get paid and have a change of pace?

It would also be interesting to see him in a more competitive league than La Liga. I suppose City is the only team in the PL willing to support Messi's likely wage demands, so it's not really surprising. I kinda hope he stays in Spain. :dunno

Yeah but for any other player, the pundits would have run the kangaroo court lol :eek7

Well, anyway, back to football. Me not a fan of the Messi move to Moneychester City either. But who knows, he might just end up there.

Hehe yeah useless stuff of silverware. Not bad for Arteta - winning the FA Cup and the Community shield in a matter of weeks.

Well-done Leeds today, scoring three on the defending champs :thumb

Both games tomorrow look good. Excited to see how West Brom do, after being out for a couple years.
