    10 of us are riding to Soldier Meadows Friday, loop to Onion Lake Saturday, back to Nixon Sunday. Any one else going to be there or in the area?

    Were doing High Rock Canyon, Soldier Meadows, and Denio next weekend. Weather looks good so far. Should be cold as hell though!

    We parked at Nixon, rode to Gerlach for lunch then to Soldier Mdws. Next day rode to Denio via the now open Nott road and Onion Lake, back through Virgin Valley. Third day back to Nixon. 475 miles. Mario's cooking put on 3 lbs.

    I stopped camping when I quit the Boy Scouts. We sleep and eat at Soldier Meadows. Gained 3 lbs on Mario's cooking.

    Yes, I fell in some old ice just north of Onion Lake. Very cold nothing melted but no new stuff.
