Most of these guys I talked to also had Beemers and KTM's in the garage as well, but they were riding to a big beer fest in Cozumel, so they took the Harleys. :rofl And just like good Harley riders, they stopped for beer and food about every hour or so. Who was I to complain about that? Right up my alley for sure.:thumb

    Amigo -

Look through my photos for Moto Rally II. This was an event that was held up here (between Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, and Matamoros) several weeks ago. 3,000 riders complete with police escorts. There are plenty of Harleys and every other type of bike.

I have run into several motorcycle rallies recently. A decade ago you didn't see a lot of recreational motorcycling in Mexico, but that is changing rapidly. Harley's are in the minority, but there are plenty around, particularly in the larger cities.

I just came back from a solo trip
    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=544013

I had no problems, and never felt unsafe.

I researched my route ahead of time, and tried to heed the advice of those who had done it before
    like tricepilot, and others.

There is an added element of risk to travel solo, you are on your own, but many do it and manage it fine.

Please tell me that's a Photoshop ... I can't believe that the operator was really foolish enough to take one of those nice buses down a road like that. :eek1
