Hi - is anybody currently in Mongolia? Broken down near the flaming cliffs and wondering if anybody is nearby to help with a 4 wheel drive trailer or can help find out what's wrong with the bike.

Can you post details on your problem? If nothing else, maybe we can help with a remote diagnosis.

    Thanks Rob!
He says he thinks the clutch plates are worn out and he needs new parts. Now he is asking about a fiche no for his G650GS Sertao. I am new to biking so not sure what that means. Googling now...

The fiche bit is probably the microfiche showing part numbers. I would contact Touratech over there; they're probably the most likely to be able to get the parts he needs since they specialize in BMW. If it's just a clutch, that's actually a pretty easy install, at least on normal bikes. I dunno about BMW... I can hope it still is. :)

I just did a clutch job in my KLX250S and it was pretty simple. The only downside is you do have to soak the clutch plates in fresh motor oil for a few hours before installation, otherwise they'll just burn up and slip.
