So I checked with Revzilla this morning about my tire order.....it should be here next Monday as it is shipping from Las Vegas. So I had to order another tire, front, from Revzilla which will ship out of Philadelphia. Then I ordered the other tire from Rocky Mountain ATV and it should be here Wednesday....those guys are awesome! SO things are coming together but nothing seems to be easy.

The company who I thought could rebuild the servo/ABS unit on the Adventure is not presently doing them due to having to source additional parts/sensors. They won't be ready to start rebuilding them again for several more months and the price will be going up, but still 1/4 the price of a new one.

with you on that - fortunately Dorito pointed me at Motorcycle Super Store to solve my tire problem so I can relax except for not liking my current packing solution

If you have all the gear 'on' the GS then you are ready to go.

You can reshuffle it as you go along and even lose things along the way. That is the way I lighten my load. There was a time when a whole case fell off......

Well it was a good night in the garage getting the HP2 prepped for the trip. I got my additional power plug wired so I can plug in my tank bag and charge things. :clap I also got the additional mount for the second fuel can all mounted up. :clap And the most important thing is that I got the larger pegs mounted....but they didn't come from the Adventure they came from the Husky. So I was doing a bit of research last night and found that the pegs were the same for the HP2 and the G450X and considering that the Husky 449/511's are basically G450's I thought I had a great chance that they would work and work they did!!!!!!!!! :clap :clap So the only real things which I need to do for the bike besides finish packing is replace the lube in the final drive and mount/balance the new tires when they arrive, which if things work in my favor should be Wednesday.

So I figured why the Adventure has this problem....I think she is just taking one for the team. She has overheard me talking about selling the HP2 due to the fact that it doesn't really have a job. I mean really it's a tweener...not an adventure bike as I have labeled it and not a mid-weight dirt bike either. So I think it is a plan to bring the other opposing twin bike into my good graces so that I will keep it and they can talk about engine oil and final drive stuff. I mean really who else would the adventure have to talk too, the parallel twin...not, the upright single....definitely not. So I think it is a well played and thought out plan by the fatherland to secure rights to the garage and grow the empire. :lol3

It looks like the front tire may be in today. :clap

I was thinking if I parked my R1200GS out west for a year or two (e.g. near Salt Lake City) to take advantage of all that riding out west has to offer without the 'drive out' then I would 'need' another big adventure bike here to ride. A WaterBoxer would be fun to accessorize .....
