was just gonna send you the same message
Prince Fred - or back to Waldorf since no Keith
Doesn't matter to us...your call.
Prince Fred 0800
I think we are going to leave the camping gear at home for the first time, although I do plan on taking a sleeping bag just in case.
Well we got together today with Lakota to work out some of the route stuff which can be difficult over the internet. We have a few changes to make but things are looking good. We plan to shorten up a few days instead a bunch of long days in a row right from the start. Dorito plans to make the talked about changes this week and then we can make reservations since the days will be locked down, for the important places.
EOD3MC.....can Lakota borrow the Scala rider comms for the trip?
I got my peg extensions on the Adventure today so that should enable me to stand all day if I choose.
Checked out some other kit as well, my Gerbings liner is working well but one of my gloves is not so I need to get those sent back pronto for repair. Ordered a few new maps as my old one is a bit tattered and also some stuff which will help me with the French speaking areas in case I can't find anyone who speaks English. Starting verifying my tool kit and most everything seems to be in order. Shower and shave kit is back up to snuff so Lance can be proud of me.....of course I am thinking of taking Motomans approach. Except for the indentations in the hair as I don't have any up there.
You got it...
With earphones or speakers?
So I am looking into doing a windshield wrap for Dorito and my bike for the trip. I try to do something new and different each trip and this is what I came up with after watching some of the shows on TV. I am thinking of putting the Cree map as the center piece and then some words such as title of the trip and possibly screen name or real name on the top. I will try to get by the sign place this week to work out the details such as cost, schedule, what is needed. It appears that they will need the bike to custom install it as some scaling will likely be required to fit different windshields. This could be kind of fun.....and useful along the trip.
Wow. Great wide extensions on the pegs. Where did you find them?
I noticed the current schedule has Friday Sept. 7 in Randolf VT about 30 miles from the Green Mountain Rally in Goshen VT.
It looks like they have four bed cabins too for $80/weekend. However the rally fee is $55 so it might be a bit pricey for a single night layover...
Like it - i will take one and do what I can to fit it to my screen.
on the hotel front Keith and I will share a room so we can move forward on the reservations we talked about.
Keith has Scala (G3 he thinks) and I will get one from Lisa (thanks for the offer Dave). next planning meeting we can see if we can set up a 4 way chat
Here you go.
Marty....is the screen on the 700 similiar to the screen on your old 800? If so, you may be in luck because Dana is running an 800 screen on her bike so it may be a pretty easy mod/install.
I have the BMW 800 touring screen on the 700
Got it....so it is probably closer to a regular GS size windshield.....I may be able to get by the place tomorrow if things work out.
A first throw at the dart board, as we'll possibly need a trip name for the windshield wrap artwork. I start with my offers, but please chime in with other thoughts!
Trekking the Trans Taiga
To Cree or Not to Cree: A Trans Taiga Adventure
"Strange Crew,take off hoser, Eh".
Never mind, wrong crowd.
How bout including Route de la Baie-James in the header for an international flavor?
like Keith's suggestion
or maybe "James Bay and Beyond"
