No scooter news, but an update. Out of rehab, back home. Weak, with a long way to go, but here, alive and determined. Have two more weeks of home therapy, and doctor's visits.
scooterin' and tinkerin' again ASAP. Realistically at least another month. Been a damn long road.

Doing OK, all considering. Back at work. Going to take a shot at working on Scruffy the Scooter this weekend. It does not want to crank up after sitting for 4 months. If I can get it running, it is supposed to be some nice weather on Sunday.

Good to see you back. Sounds like Scruffy feels he's been neglected, so soft words and a big hammer.

I finally found some time when I didn't feel like I was run over by a truck. The charging coil in the stator has less than 10 volts output, is supposed to be at least 50 volts. I got a new stator from Amazon. Hopefully I will feel like installing it this weekend.

I got the new stator installed. Charge coil makes 55 volts, trigger coil makes 6 volts. Perfect. Ordered in some new connectors. I had just soldered everything before. Hopefully smoke before Christmas!

    Any good news?
I want you to know that I am buying a Razor E300 tomorrow that is on CL here.
The seller is even delivering it to the office when they come into town.
I have had a watch on CL for a used scooter since I first found this build thread and this is the first one that has popped up.
I plan to have it in reserve if the E-atv won't fit in the van my folks use to get to the local mall.
We measured the lift and made sure it will fit on that but later I asked Dad about when he actually goes up the lift does he have to make a sharp turn into position to have his chair/scooter/atv strapped down and he said yes, he hadn't thought of that either. The atv doesn't have a tight turning radius so we shall see.

If the e-atv won't work in the transport van I will copy your build very closely.
Dad says he will be happy to use the e-atv around the neighborhood on the bumpy roads and trails that aren't very good for his power chair.

I hope you are doing better each day! :wave

Yea Jag...have long been thinking about all that weight pops has to drag around.
Thinking out side the box...I keep thinking light weight and easy to move around.
I keep thinking two small light weight wire wheels and a typical bicycle looking frame with out pedals, but easy access to your feet to strattle the frame to help your self along.
Lot of electric bicycle kits now days.

    Ha....and two steel shoes.:lol3
