Great trip and photos John. I am wondering one thing though, why did the Harley riders that actually rode have so much stuff packed on their bikes?

I did the Sturgis run from St Petersburg, via Denver in '96 on a Harley ElectraGlide and aside from the full tail trunk and saddlebags I only had a tent and sleeping bag sittin on the back seat. The guys in some of your photos had gear piled up higher than their helmets. What's up with that???
