    Good day,

Anybody interested in a weekend of offroad around Busan in September?

A registered and insured bike is a must since there will be numerous short transfers on public roads between the offroad fun.

Let me know and maybe we can put together a South Korea ADVride?

Look forward to hearing from you.

I'm game. I know a guy in Seoul with a KTM adventure (990?) who might be interested. I also know another guy here with an F650GS PD, but he doesn't have a lot of dirt experience.

    Keep me posted.

    Looks good, I'm getting excited!

It looks like you have found plenty of good dirt roads. Here in the area southwest of Seoul, it is hard to find those long dirt roads. Too much development and asphalt.

    Good morning South Korea!

If you are interested in joining you better get your bikes together now...

It is 6:50 AM and I am eating my morning porridge about to leave for the "ADVride". Unfortunately the guys in Kwangju and Seoul backed out due to "mechanical problems", we will make a new attempt 2nd half of October (it is of course questionable whether that KTM in Kwangju will work even after one month...:lol3 ).

So off we go with Flying Dutch on the 1st official South Korea ADVride ever! Report will follow.

After relooking the calendar and juggling some things around....it is starting to look like the 21-22 weekend might just work. I should have confirmation by the end of the week. Anyone else?

    Good day,

Everything is now lined up for the first Korean ADVride on 21st and 22nd of November. There will be participation from Busan, Mokpo, Kwangju & Seoul!

It has been raining heavily here two days now so we may even experience some mud and slippery forest roads next week. Who knows we are lucky and we can even do some adult watergames?

Myself and Flying Dutch got a new set of Heidenau offroad tires in the mail today so we should be well prepared traction-wise.

Tomorrow I will go out and check some lodging options for those in need.

Look forward to meeting you all!

Hello ROK adv riders. I'm glad to see that there are some adv riders in Seoul. I will be heading your position in May'10. Currently, I'm debating whether to bring my DR 650 with me or not. It's a great piece of engineering that has had its share of adventures. The most recent one was the copper canyon in Mexico.
Please keep me updated in your rides and I hope to meet with you when I get there in a few months. Don't know if I want to bring my bike or not yet, but regardless, keep me posted and enjoy your muddy rides.

    Ronnie
