I ran a klr 650 with the D606 tired all year and on that trip with no issue, but not recommended for James Bay and back

Sure the tire lasted, but the Klr vibrated nuts and bolts along the trail, Air filter fell off and the massive power of the Klr tore up valve stems and don't forget the yard sale of all your gear.

Sounds like you’ve got bigger issues then a tire then, my klr never vibrates anything loose.

I'm surprised you are a KLR guy. Are you going to Dover?

The ride to Dover was a little chilly at 8am. But after putting on raincoat for an extra layer and to break the wind it was bearable. It warmed up over the morning.
Crowds were probably only 4-5k maybe less. But it was worth the trip.
Quite a few adventure bikes and the usual HD criwd. The average HD Rider must be 55-65 years old.

I was primarily referring to the HD crowd.
I think HD is having a demographics crisis.

Sounds good to me. Are you going to need oil for your bike at Rona before we go to grand bend?

Hehe, funny guy :D... did replace the balance shaft seal so at least shouldn't smoke any more, but it will still drink some :lol3

Either place works, just in case more people show up, there's bigger parking lot.

Just checking to see if you got your wrenches dirty over the winter.

I'm going riding Tuesday am and was looking for a 4-5hr loop/ destination to head too. I'm in London and will be meeting up with my buddy from Niagara. So something Midway or a little more towards London would be preferred. Any recommendations from the group? We we're considering Port Dover towards Long Point. Ideally a little dirt would be fun. We are both riding mid size adventure bikes with knobbies.
So any suggestions for a loop or destination?

FYI: we ended up meeting in Port Dover and found our way to turkey point, where we rode the small trail system on the bikes .The trails in Turkey Point are quite sandy, but still fun. Then headed down to long point and into the park. The ride into and out of Long Point has a nice view.
Then down to port burwell for lunch, another nice ride with views of some sand dunes and the lake.
Finally on leaving Port Burwell we headed up the rail trail to Aylmer. The trail is closing in, but still doable.
All in all a nice ride and I would recommend it to anyone looking to kill part of a day. A little country road, a little dirt and some decent views.
