    >"They are supposed to be fixing the store up there Ive heard."

There is a 'new' card-locked gas station... and the 'new' bar (mostly) & 'store' is nice.
    IMHO: Somebody with money.

I was just up in this area Thursday and again Saturday coming home. I did Zenia a few weeks ago. Man, I love that road.

I wish it were still summer and the days were longer.

Well, hang on. Shortest day is in 23 days.
Frankly, I'm hoping for a... 'little stop' in the rain.

The shorter days aren't stopping the riding. I just can get farther in a day when the sun sets later. :nod

And I hear you about the rain. The sky unleashed near Trinidad and kept me wet through Leggett and then positively DUMPED all along 128 last night. Still worth it.

I can't wait until next spring so I can get back up there and see all my favorites. :raabia

WoW. That is Quite a Bar for Cecilville, very shiny. Last time we stopped there the only things moving were a herd of Horses wandering up the road by the store, they seemed very unconcerned. I stopped in Calahan a while ago and talked to the guy who has been re-building the old Hotel there, quite the labor of love he has going, maybe done with it by now.

If the rain stops by next Friday or Saturday I hope to make it out that way. I just recently move back to Humboldt and need to reacquaint myself with all the great areas.

We should organize a weekend lunch, even if it is raining some of us could drive up and get to know each other. Several in Eureka / Fortuna / McKinleyville and a couple near Garberville / SC.

I'm retired so any day works for me.
FYI, watch for the Mendo Rally at Lake Pillsbury usually at the end of April. This is put on by Dean (mootsuno) . Great camping, food, and riding.

OK, let's make it happen then.

    1:00 pm, Friday December 2, 2016.

Eel River Brewery, 1777 Alamar Way, Fortuna.

I'll be riding there. Look for the bad ass black V-Strom (not to be confused with Scotty's non-bad ass black V-Strom).

Who's for sure? Scotty? Kenny? Anyone else?
