    Kanur,

Rode with you and Sieg last fall, me on my KLR. I know you like the canoeing sports so I wanted to let you know about my cousin's kid who floated the entire Illinois river last fall on a solo trip. Originally, he was going to New Orleans but started too late in the fall and the weather got bad. He pulled out at the confluence of the Miss. and Mo.

    Hi Darren :wave

Your cousin's trip sounds cool. I have a friend who has done all of the Missouri and all of the Mississippi. I'm a whitewater guy and don't do much flat water but did do an 18 day trip through the Grand Canyon.

Thanks, I figured you would recognize it. Tried to get Jonny Cash out on his new ride but he was busy. Stopped in at Grass Roots for a look around and thought about a Po Boy from Broussards, but didnt go because after eating a whole Po Boy I would have just wanted to head home for a nap instead of riding more.

    :lurk

I think I'll lurk around here for awhile... The Inlaws have some land around Herod, I Took the Rokon and WR250R down there over Easter to play on the hills and had a blast.. Beautiful Country you've all got down there! :ricky

I was wondering if there was much in the way of gravel and dirt roads to explore in the Shawnee forest or if it was all locked down to motorized traffic :ear

Is that the Big Muddy levy below Pine Hills, looks familiar. Time for a ride south soon.

Bigdog has some tracks available down there, let me know if you can't find them.

    Howdy hotrod,

Highland is pretty far north for my after work or day rides but if you ever make it to the dirty south I'll be glad to show you around.

Saturday the wife and I will prolly hit the whitewater (you have to do it when it's here). Michelle is working the scoring at Skyhigh MX on Sunday so I plan to go for a ride, not sure if MO or IL.

I had an XT500 in '79, fun bike, tons of torque. Chewed up chains and sprockets but you could wheelie it just about anytime by dropping a gear.

*It was a KLR, I eventually caught up*

The wife and I camped at Pounds hollow and Gleno Jones lakes all last week, did a lot of kayaking and over 120 miles of gravel and dirt, there is some great riding along the Karbers Ridge black top and all around the Saline Co. State fish and wildlife area. A small road called Eagle mountain road has at least 4 very long fire roads with the gates open :clap:clap

I think you have me mixed up for someone else, I was riding by myself Sunday and ran into three inmates from Belleville, IL in LaRue Pine Hills.

What Tellico ride are you talking about?
