Years back there was a national mountain bike race in Viburnum MO. our dirt bike club rode sweep/chase for it. They ran the course across a golf course. It was kind of cool running the cart paths on dirt bikes, while golfers were there.

How bad did you want to do a wheelie on the path.

Gonna have to get creative with my bicycle ride.
Route 127 just South of Alto Pass is closed.......my ride gets on 127 for a short bit right there.
And the high bluff road North of Pine Hills campground is washed out and gated. Bet I can sneak a bicycle by both of them
Camped now at the scenic overlook just at the edge of town.in Alto Pass....got permission from the mayor.
He said if the sheriff bothers me to tell him He said it was ok.
So I’m good watching bald cross from here......I’ve never seen it lit up....tonight’s the night.

Will do. Pouring down rain now.
If I dont get there on the bicycle.......will have the Moto out later.
Just hiked the railroad bed in Alto. That thing is way cool.
So many historic things I’ve blown by in the past.
Road the Bultaco thru there in the 70’s all the way from Cobden.
Found out the bicyclists are trying to open that whole railroad bed back up,
A monumental task......with all the land acquisitions that will have to happen.

    Stuff me and Loosenut found.
Yes------snake road is closed for awhile.
The road North of Pine Hills campground is gated on the North at Godwin Trail and about 3 miles South of there at a picnic area------can't remember the name---so you can't get thru there-------they let the bicycle racers thru a couple weeks ago.
Talked to forest service-------those gates will remain for a year or more due to an erosion-----I didn't see a problem when I road my bicycle thru there.
Talked to forest service about the bridge near Hutchison Creek that's been washed out forever-------he said it will never be replaced---and the crazy people are still down there-----------and I ran into them. Hutchison creek on the East side was not crossable about 3 days ago---------but is now and we crossed it---with crazy guy hot on our heels.
Route 127 is gated and closed just South of Alto Pass-------they let me thru on my bicycle after I did a little begging---------I was surprised they did.

All kinks of stuff under water now-------we were turned back at least a dozen places here and there-------mostly there. :D

    Hey Mike,
I mentioned those people that monitor that bridge to the forest service. He said they are calling them and the Sheriff all the time and have become a real nuisance----I could tell he was holding his tonque and wanted to say what he thought---------but shouldn't for his job.
They did a prescribed burn when were leaving the campground---------and as we were riding back to camp we thought the campground was on fire----------thick smoke everywhere. We hoped our campers weren't on fire.

$5 to camp there for old people-------------I'm startin' to love this gettin' old.
