Didn't bring my raft.
Nice day for a ride
If any of you soil ADVers need a destination for today, the Threshermans Fall Festival is going on today at Pinckneyville Fair Grounds.
There's lots of cool old stuff to look at.
Hmmm maybe tomorrow is it both days?
Yes, I think it is Sunday also.
Let me know if you head over, might be able to do a little riding.
Some old moto-head had a '76 TT500 parked amongst the vintage tractors.
I was there today, left about 1:30, my Lord if you needed a tool and couldn't find it there........I don't know what to tell ya.
Any 10mm sockets?
I think it where they all went.
I'm trying to get rid of a Givi or Givi-like top case. It seems to be made to hold two street helmets. Its size is making shipping cost prohibitive. So, I was wondering if any of you locals would be interested in a bargain case. If you're willing to venture over near Mitchellsville I'll let you have it for $20. It came with my used V strom and I prefer a squarish box instead.
Here is the link to the ADV ad I placed a few days ago. https://advrider.com/f/threads/givi-rear-case.1414281/ .
An inmate from NY just bought the case.

Looks like you guys have been having some fun-----nice pictures.
If anybody wants to join me................
I'm taking off right now------going to camp in my van at Cave In Rock right at the ferry---either in that campground right there or on the Asphalt.----------not at the state park.
Breakfast at the cafe in town 7AM Sunday then go riding all day. Be gone by 8AM.
Riding my 250 rally-------if you want to spin your tires and ride fast you won't like riding with me.
I truly get bored doing that.
May camp Sunday nite too ????
Monday's weather is going to turn bad.
I did get to do my ride----since the days are so short----I had hoped to haul my bike down and move from campground to campground and I'd get to make full use of what daylight hours are still left this time of year. Poking around I noticed both Golconda and Rosiclare had campsites right on the river---don't know how I missed seeing these. After camping at Cave In Rock---I drove over to Rosiclare after dark and camped there. Man it was nice------had electricity and nobody came around to collect camping fees ???
The full moon over the river and watching the barges at nite was awesome.
I wanted to spend a week or more--------but alas----the weather has went South.
But here is a short video of my one day ride.
So if you down in that area along the Ohio River here are 5 places to camp that are right on the river-----------4 have hookups for RV's. Primitive at Tower Rock. One of those shown is in KY. (shown in video).
Jillions of other places to camp in the Shawnee---but these are right on the river.
