Hey guys, new to the area, just bought a new KLR and been itching to get it offload more!
Looking for a group of riders to ride with or tell me about some cool spots that I could check out alone.
so far in my limited research i've really only seen this which I plan and doing once I get some more planning, storage, and camping gear: http://www.backcountrydiscoveryroutes.com/AZBDR
Any guidance from veterans would be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome, there's tons of areas to choose from whether u like rough terrains or mild but long trips. Take the back way to Crown King to Lake Pleasant all the way to Prescott using Senator Hwy. Also try Seven Spring Rd form Cave Creek all the way to Sheep bridge (very scenic) maybe it start to get hot for that now. We do plan ride every 3 weeks or so just keep visiting this thread or other thread in the area. There's always someone planning something. I am due for a long ass ride soon north of AZ (I'll keep u posted). This time of year and till September I like to ride above 4500ft or so.

This is a good resource to start with. http://www.nsrides.com/index.html

Go to ride reports and pick a year, I think 2007 is when he started in Az. You can browse by difficulty level by choosing the easy, moderate or hard tabs once you choose a year. If there is a map to the left of a ride listing, you can download gps tracks by clicking on it.

    Have fun.

LOL. This thread is good. The East of Phoenix thread is good and the N.W. of Phoenix ADV Riders thread is good. Those are the 3 that I keep an eye on for rides and local cuisine.

Notice that age, experience & just plain smarts have kept him off those Orange bikes:jack Hard to stay in shape when you spend most of your time doing maintenance!
